Assistive Technology (AT) Loan Program
Our Assistive Technology Loan Program provides those in need with access to items that they may not be able to get outside of our office. Our Yakima office keeps a stock of several different items that individuals with disabilities are able to check out for free, for up to 90 days. While these items vary in number and availability, some of the items that we have on hand for you to use are;
Cooling technology (Window AC units, desktop evaporative coolers, and fans)
Laptops
Several different books and dvds centered around disabilities
Tablets
Lobby PC in our Yakima office (Reserve 1 hour timeslots for pc use)
If you are curious about our loan out program and don’t see something that you are looking for above, feel free to contact us, as we may have other items that are not listed here.
Individuals do not need to be active consumers with our office, but you must sign a waiver and may be responsible for paying to replace any broken or unreturned items.
This program is only available from our Yakima office, but those in another county within our service area are free to use the program provided that they can transport themselves to and from our Yakima office.
Items cannot be shipped and must be picked up in person.
